Our Weedend
I did a lot of patch work on Emily's clothes. See below. She is a little rough on the knees of her jeans. I added a few flowers for design measures. Luckily, I purchase the majority of her clothes second hand so when a hole is formed, I don't sweat it. She'll only get about two more months wear out of them anyway. It has never failed that by the end of the year, she change sizes. The other day when I picked Emily up from the YMCA, a counselor stated that Emily seemed to be getting taller. Her size 7 slim pants fit perfectly on her at the moment. However, in Emily's opinion fitting perfectly means they are too little and we need to buy three sizes bigger. Since she does prefer bigger clothes, it's easier to layer and that is what she loves to do.
There is just too little time in Emily's life here lately for t.v. She has been busy doing homework, more chores, more crafts, going to the library, going to brownie meetings, playing outside, and generally playing more with her toys. She even has stopped asking me if she can watch TV. In seven days she has only watched her TV on Sunday. Below is an example of how she plays with her toys. She dresses them up.
The only bad thing about her not watching TV is that when she gets a yellow mark from school, we can't punish her by taking the TV away. But I think we can figure something else out. However this week, Hartford and I decided to ignore her yellow mark. Come on people who hasn't made faces in the cafeteria?

All I needed...
a pair of shorts,
two pairs of Capri pants,
two dress shirts,
a Halloween shirt,
a pair of shoes,
a cheap wallet,
a dressy jacket,
a necklace,
Emily a pair of shoes,
a Christmas gift for Hartford,
a Christmas tree skirt,
and four matching stockings.
Ugh, I still NEED a pair of dress slacks for work! But at this rate, I can't afford to keep searching for a pair of dress pants.

Off we go!
Earlier in the week our camping trip to Enota Mountain was placed on hold because of the gas crises. Luckily, things started improving during mid-week and our trip once again was a go. By the looks of this picture, I think Emily was a little excited to get on the road.
Fall Festival
It wasn't long after we got back into the truck that we spotted a fall festival at a Catholic church and we stopped. The first thing Emily did was play on the inflatable rock wall/slide.
North GA Corn Maze
We didn't finish the corn maze but when we spotted a way out, we took it. It was hot and somebody (me) forgot to take a bottle of water with us.
While Hartford went to grab the water from the truck, Emily posed.
This picture was taken for the sole reason to prove that I was not crazy last year. Last year, I kept spotting a horse and as soon as I turned around, it was no where to be seen. Hartford and Emily never did see them and they had me believing that I was crazy.
Stuck on the side of the road
Finally at the camp ground
While Hartford checked in, Emily and I went to the pond and watched the ducks swim and saw a toddler boy catch his first fish. He was as proud as could be, but he wasn't touching it even if his grandma was insisting on a picture.
