Emily's Scripture Book

It has been on my heart for several months to make Emily a Scripture book. I completed it tonight. Here is a picture of it.
It has 16 Bible verses in it.

I hope that this gift touches her heart and her life. I don't think that she will think much about it when she receives it. Children, especially 7 & 1/2 year olds would much rather get a toy so I don't anticipate any excitement. But if it has been on my heart and for so long, God must be sending me a message. It could just well be one of those gifts that will take years to appreciate. Aren't those the best kind?

Tinker Bell

Our Disney vacation was a dream come true. I took a bunch of pictures. However, if I had to choose one picture to sum up the vacation, it would be this picture of Tinker Bell and Emily. Tinker Bell played her part and Emily was totally star struck with her. She couldn't even speak. Notice that Emily is holding something in her hand. It is a little Tinker Bell that lights up. Emily showed it to Tinker Bell and oh my goodness, Tinker Bell should have won a super duper prize for playing her part. Emily was jumping straight up and down when she left the the fairies. It was worth the 90 minute wait. Besides, it was raining outside.

Missing Emily

I miss Emily! I know that she is having a grand time at Grandma's, but I still miss her.

Gwinnett Braves

Lo and behold, it's the Braves! No, they aren't the Atlanta Braves, they are Better!! They are the Gwinnett Braves. They are the AAA division. They are just located down the road, the tickets were free (thanks to an officer at my job), the food is reasonably priced, we had awesome seats, and I don't think that there is a bad seat in the smaller stadium.
Check this out, people are enjoying the game sitting on a bank in outfield. I think that is cool.
No this is not a beaver. It's Chopper, he's a groundhog that looks like a beaver.
Note to self: wear sunscreen so you won't look like a raccoon the next day. Note to self: Go to a night game, it's got to be less miserably hot then.

Lost Tooth #8

On June 1, Emily finally lost that tooth that stubborn tooth.
That night she ask the following questions to the Tooth Fairy:

Does Tinker Bell and her friends exist?
Does Pixie Hollow exist?
What do you do with the teeth?
Is there more than one tooth fairy?
Is flying easy?
Can pixie dust make anybody fly?
I also have a question for Tinker Bell, Do tooth fairies live in Pixie Hollow?

Here is the Tooth Fairy's response:

Dearest Emily,

Your fairy dolls are gorgeous! Thank you for showing them to me. You are one of the sweetest children that I visit.

I live at Tooth Fairyland which is hidden away up in the sky. Although there are several tooth fairies, I am your only tooth fairy. We use the teeth to build just about everything at Tooth Fairyland. Sometimes the teeth shine so bright, you can see them as stars at night.

Flying is easy for me. I was born with the magic to fly.

Although the fairy dust that I leave you is special, humans can’t use its magic.

I believe that Tinker Bell and her friends are real and that they live in Pixie Hollow. Some of my friends and I would like to go visit someday, but we can’t figure out where Pixie Hollow is located. Legend has it that Pixie dust can make anyone or anything fly. I think it would be fun to see a cat fly. But, I don’t think that the birds would be too happy.

Sweet dreams,
T.F.
