Missing My Missy Cat

Hartford, Emily and I have been missing our sweet Missy cat.

Today I got an e-mail message from Wolf Camera stating that my pictures were going to be deleted due to the lack of activity. I was hoping that I would find some "lost" pictures of Missy cat and sure enough, I found three. I feel that this is God's way of giving me a hug today.

This one was taken around 2/28/08 She is sitting on Hartford's dresser and she was probably looking at the precious cat in the mirror and when I spoke to her, she turned and snapped a picture. These two pictures didn't turn out great but I tried using Picnik to edit them. It helped but still they aren't great. But that is okay by me. They are still a treasure.

These were taken around January 26, 2008. Missy discovered that she could jump up into the drop down ceiling in laundry room. Crazy me, climbed up on the table to take these. I'm lucky that I didn't fall.

Father/Daughter Dance #2

Tonight was the Father/Daughter Dance. They had a wonderful time. I enjoyed curling Emily's hair.

Emily's winning self-portrait

At the beginning of the year, Emily drew her self-portrait. It was choosen as one of the entries to represent the school at the county school art show this week.
This is her art teacher.

The Haircut

Saturday morning, we waited over an hour at the hair cutting place to get Emily a haircut. And to think, we got there at 9:07 and they opened at 9:00. It's good thing that we didn't get there at 9:15.

Good bye sweet Missy cat

With heavy hearts we said good-bye to our sweet Missy cat yesterday. Missy cat fought many battles of kidney disease and renal failure. There was no cure, she was on borrowed time. Missy cat was with us for 12 and 1/2 years. She was such a blessing to us. We wanted to give her one last act of kindness. She will be forever loved and remembered.

Snow!

So, what did we do when we got snow in Georgia?
The cat got in front of the fire and refused to move.
Hartford bundled up and found the sled.
Emily jumped on the sled and enjoyed the ride down
to the entrance to our subdivision
and down the path
to the school
where Hartford found a small hill
and pushed Emily down the hill.
And sometimes Hartford climbed aboard and enjoyed the ride as well.
Then, it was time to play on the slide.

Later in the day, Emily braved the cold and built a snowman
and a cat.
I took pictures.
