Easter Morning

Saturday night, Emily prepared for the Easter Bunny's visit. She left her basket on the table with a note, a picture that she drew, a flower, and a sucker for the Easter Bunny.
The note said, "Dear Easter bunny, please hide my Easter basket please. I would like a chocolate bunny again like last year. Love, Emily."

The o in love is actually a heart. Too cute!!
On Sunday morning, she got into to bed with me and whispered that she had been downstairs. I sleepily asked, "you did?" She softly replied, "yeah, and the Easter Bunny took everything that I left him." I asked with my eyes still closed, "did he leave you a basket?" He must have hide it, I'm going to go look for it!" She searched and searched. Oh what fun we had watching her. Hartford was trying to give her hints. She finally looked under the pink bean bag. She was very pleased at what she found.
Then it was off to church in her Easter dress.

Standing on her head

Emily has been practicing on and off standing on her head for some time now.
Saturday night, she decided to try again.
Dad helped her a little.
But she finally did it on her own.

Easter Egg Hunt - Part 4

It's hard to believe but it's true. Emily is now in the big kid group for the Easter egg hunt.

Easter Egg Hunt - Part 2

An Easter Egg Hunt wouldn't be the same without guinea pigs and bunnies.

Easter Egg Hunt - Part 1

The Womack's are a generous couple in our church that host the annual Easter Egg hunt. They have big hearts and a big yard.

Here is a picture of Emily with Mrs. Kay. She runs the best children ministry ever!

A Purrfect Landing?

Missy cat just happened to spot me in the window and jumped up on the deck railing so that I would open the window so that she could jump in. When she landed she landed with one paw in her food dish and the food went flying.
At least she tried to clean up her mess, but her belly just couldn't hold everything in the flood.
Bless her heart, just really did try to eat all the morels of food. But she gave up, found a cozy spot, bathed and fell asleep.

Doll Makeovers

After the eggs were dyed, it was time to play babies. And babies did we play! Each baby got a makeover which involved a pretend haircut, a new style, pretend makeup and a new outfit. Even the teddy bears got into the action.
