Ronald Reagan Park

Sunday was a good day to go to the park, so we did. Once it started to rain, we went across the street to the library.

Mother's Day 2009

What a wonderful Mother's day I had. Just look at my gifts:

Teacher appreciation

For celebration of teacher appreciation, Emily made Mrs. Baum this lovely potholder. Mrs. Baum returned her love by telling her that it looks as if it was store bought.

Re-root of a teenage black Skipper doll - before picture

The other night, Emily comes into the orange room holding this Skipper doll, one hand held the head and the other hand held the body. I told that I would super glue it. I really meant it when I said it. It laid on the craft table for a couple of days and every time I saw it, I tried to convince myself that I was going to super glue it. That's all, just super glue the head to the body and walk away from it. Well, the urge overcame me and I gave into the temptation. I have scalped her and prepared her to be re-rooted. With every strain of hair I pulled out, I felt so guilty that I told had Emily that I was going to super glue it. The next morning, I confessed to Emily of my actions. At first she was disappointed and ask to see the doll. I showed the bald head to her and she immediately forgave me but I read between her words that she should have known all along what I would and wouldn't do.

Missy Cat

Here's Missy cat in what Hartford and I call the "mother hen" position.Emily asked me one night not so long ago if animals go to Heaven. Yes, I think that Missy cat will be Heaven with us because of God's love for us and our love for our pets.

Playing at school on Sunday afternoon

Princess Emily

Saturday Emily attended a princess birthday party. Afterwards, we went to Costco and a lot of people admired her beauty.

Still Swimming

Still swimming, just in a different, cheaper, and funner place.

Discover Mills Mall

The other day when we went to the mall, Emily acted as if she had never seen all the dead stuffed animals in the Bass Pro Shop. Just another reason why you got to love seven year olds.

Missy cat gives the evil eye

I'm not sure what Missy cat's issue is but she keeps giving me the evil eye.Maybe she is tired of me taking pictures of her. Hmm...that could very well be it.
