Happy Birthday - Emily is 8!

In celebration of Emily's eighth birthday we went to the Fox Theater to see:

Oh yeah, it was totally awesome!!

I'm very thankful to some very thoughtful co-workers who provided a gift card allowing us to purchase the tickets!

Happy Birthday - Ben

After the fall festival, Hartford and Emily came home and Emily ate lunch and she and I were off to Ben's birthday party. Ben is in the same 2nd grade class as Emily. Emily had a wonderful time at the party. It was located at a inflatable jumping place.
This is Alexandra who was there to just jump. She and Emily had a blast. All the kids really enjoyed the balloons.

Happy Birthday - Emily is 7!

December the 6th, Emily turned 7 years old. She personally thinks that the 1/2 on the number sounds better than just plain numbers.

Here's a picture of Emily with her gift from Denny. Denny made this beautiful stain glass sun catcher from a picture that Emily had drawn and sent to her. Denny's talent is amazing. I'm afraid that it may break so I've put it in the hutch for safe keeping.
Here's a picture of Emily playing with her princess Polly Pockets that Connie and Alex sent her. She played a long time with them.
Here's a picture of the American Girl doll outfit that Grandma got for her. Notice that Emily is hiding her mouth. She bumped it the day before and hurt it. She didn't want anyone to see her sore lip.
Here's a very cute picture of Princess Emily wearing her crown that came in the card that Connie sent her.
Here she is blowing out her candle. The cake came from Kroger. It tasted awful. But Emily picked it out and she was very pleased with herself for doing so. And she thought that three bites that she took out of it was wonderful. By the way Emily says that she likes any kind of cake except the kind that has rice on it. Translation: She doesn't like coconut.
