Thanks to my company, we watched a hockey game for free in this nice box.

Special quest:
Emily is a long time fan of Sponge Bob. She was extremely happy to met him!
On the way home, Emily explains why the Sponge Bob at the game wasn't real. She also tells us why leprechauns are real and how she is determined to catch one next year. Got to love seven year olds!

A story by Emily
Every Friday, Emily brings home her Friday folder. I love it because you just never know what treasure awaits within it. Here's the treasure of I got two or three weeks ago. Translation:
There were once a lot of girls. Only two girls are still here! Me and Myra. It all started when we were allowed to go on our own...
One day our parents had a vacation for 12 months. A babysitter came to take care of us. We packed up when the teenager was asleep. Then we adventured into a maze. When we got in, we thought there was no way out. It took us 20 days to get out. On the 5th day in the maze ghosts came. On the 10th day in the maze skeletons came. On the 15th day in the maze a mummy. On the last day in the maze giant spiders chased us out of the maze! We were so scared that we didn't come down for 50 days. Finally, we did and from that day on we never went into a strange places ever again. We absolutely learned our lesson or did we? We don't know because I'm only 7 years old.
The End

It's a trap for a leapuran
Emily and her classmates are going to try to catch leprechauns. Here's Emily's trap. The leprechaun is suppose to see the sign about the prize, then climb the ladder to get the prize. Once on top, the leprechaun will fall into the trap because the top of the hat isn't secured. I wonder what the other kids will come up with.

It actually snowed in Georgia
It actually snowed in Georgia! We drove home in sleet after church on Sunday. It wasn't long until we had a good snow on the ground. Emily had a blast playing in it.
On Monday, Emily experienced her first snow day. I didn't make it to work until noon and Hartford worked from home and stayed with Emily.
P.S. Except for the first two pictures that I barely stepped out of the sliding glass door, I took the pictures from the warmth on the house. I'm not a huge fan of snow.

"Shh, my babies are sleeping"
Last Friday night I worked late. When I got home, Emily rushed to the door and whispered, "shh, my babies are sleeping." Hartford reported that she had worked all evening putting them to sleep.
On Saturday morning Emily didn't want to go to swimming lessons because she needed to wake up her babies and feed them. I reassured her that they would sleep until she returned. They did. She played with them on Saturday and put them back to bed Saturday night. Please note their covers. It's her old, old purple blanket. Thank goodness Santa brought her another one in 2007. For some reason, I think both blankets will go to college with her.
