Cat Letter #3 (Daisy)

January 16, 2011

Hello,

My name is Daisy and I am a sweetie pie kitten. This morning when I was sitting on the cedar chest with my little paws on the window seal looking outside at the cute birdies, the girl grown-up told the boy grown-up that I was a sweetie pie kitten and that I reminded her of Missy cat. This made my heart glow with happiness.

I saw Missy cat last night in my dreams. She was beautiful and she had gray strips like me but more of them with golden highlights. Missy cat told me that I was beautiful with strips on my top and white on my belly. I couldn't help but giggle with happiness.

She told me that I was now old enough to pounce on the black box to make letters like Rascal. I'm all about pouncing. I especially like to pounce Rascal's tail. It hardly ever stops moving.

You know what else I like to do. I like to play hockey. I'll play hockey with anything at anytime with anyone. Sometimes the rug is moved from the foyer and that area is an excellent rink. Although, I'll use anything for the puck, my favorite puck is a little yellow bouncy ball. It just keeps going and going. Sometimes Rascal uses it to play basketball and that's okay because I usually can find the red bouncy ball nearby which is my second favorite ball.

In my dream, Missy cat told me that she used to play hockey too. But she warned me not to play hockey under the dresser at 3:00 in the morning. She said that she had been there done that and the results weren't pretty. I quietly asked her what happened and she told me that all she was going to tell me was that she ended up soaking wet and that I didn’t need to know anything else. “Oh,” I shyly said because I know what she meant because Rascal and I know the spray bottle all too well. Their names are Busted and Caught Ya.

Oh my, I hear Rascal being a rascal. I better go and check things out.

Until next time,
Daisy, one of the kittens
