If he is trying to hide, he needs to do a better job of it. Do you see Daisy? No that's because she is a good hider and is secretly under one of the beds.

Rascal plays with a balloon
Rascal can't resist playing with a balloon.
After it pops, he wonders what happened.
After Emily saves the day and finds Rascal another balloon, Daisy finally wonders what's going on and decides to check things out.
She sniffs.
Doesn't like the smell of it and backs away.
But that's ok with Rascal because he would rather play by himself anyway.
But atlas, he decides that it's time to see if Emily's artwork can be knocked down. Note: there is a star in the floor where he just successful knocked off of one of Emily's pictures. Nothing last forever, especially when you live with Rascal.

Cat Letter #2 (Rascal)
January 16, 2011
Hey Folks,
It turns out that my name is Rascal. The grown-ups and Emily say that I am a rascal. Seriously, I have no idea what they mean. I mean so what if I like to explore what's in the kitchen trash can from time to time, it doesn't make me a rascal does it?
My buddy's name is Daisy. The grown-ups and Emily say that she is a delicate flower. Seriously, I have no idea where that is coming from either. Have they not seen how sneaky she is when she pounces my tail. She carries a punch in her pounce, “ouch”. A delicate flower, I think not, but maybe a punch out petunia.
Do you want to know a secret? The grown-ups and Emily don't know that we know our names. They have this silly idea that we should come when they call us. No way, that is never going to happen. Plus, they are trying to teach us our names by giving us edible treats. Daisy and I know that we have a good thing going.
Oh good golly day, I sense Daisy is nearby and she is getting ready to pounce my tail so I better go and pounce her first. Oh the joy of pouncing!
Until next time,
Rascal, one of the kittens
P.S. I hope there is something good in the trash can tonight.

Emily is amazing. She told me today that she plans inventing things and becoming an entrepreneur and instead of being a millionaire she going give to wildlife charities and cancer charities.

Kitty update
Let the consignment sale season begin
On the way home tonight Emily and I stopped at Cannon UMC's consignement sale. For $28 we got a Barbie house (sigh, another one but she used her allowance to pay for it), another book to add to her huge collection, a church dress, a pair of jean Carpi's, a solid colored tee-shirt, a swimsuit, and a bathrobe. I think we had a great start to the consignment season.
