Easter Egg Hunt at the Womack's-2010

Once again the Womack's opened their hearts and home to host the church's Easter egg hunt. There were bunnies to be petted.

There was a train to ride.
There were the trees to climb.

And this year, there was ice cream to buy and eat!
Emily had a wonderful time.

Question

What is the best thing money can’t buy?

My answer: The sound of Emily’s giggles.

What's your answer?

For the love of pickles

I love pickles as much as well, Emily hates them. I have loved pickles my entire life. Pickles were the first food that I ate so much of that I got sick, and yet I wanted even more of them. I don’t recall meeting a pickle that I haven’t liked. But poor Emily, she hates them, she loathes them, and she despises them. She even hates it when I talked about them. I sometimes wonder if that child is really mine. If she didn’t have freckles I would seriously wonder. But since she also dearly loves cats and bunnies, she probably is mine.

Here are some interesting pickle facts for the June 2009 issue of Real Simple:

Aristotle praised their healing effects is 350 B.C.
Julius Caesar fed them to his troops, supposedly believing they lent physical and spiritual strength.
Cleopatra insisted that eating them enhanced her beauty.
Christopher Columbus brought them to the New World on his 15th century voyage.

Personally, I eat them because they taste so yummy.

Emily's school project

Emily received an A+ on her How to make Pass-It-On Cookies project. Here's the poster that I "helped" her to make. It was the perfect opportunity to use my From the Kitchen Cricut cartridge.
Here's the mini-poster with the directions that Emily wrote. Here are the ingredients. Aren't these bags awesome? All she had to do was pour all the ingredients into the larger bag.
Then Daddy helped her to bake a batch of cookies so that everyone in the class got one.
It was definitely a family project.

Dear Easter bunny

Dear Easter Bunny,

Can you please hide my Easter basket again? Can you hide it every year? I am going to put some stuffed animals and blankets in the living room. Please take the blankets and stuffed animals and put the blankets everywhere in the room and then, put all the stuffed animals under the blankets and under one blanket or somewhere else put the Easter basket. I’m going to put the exact number of stuffed animals as there are blankets. So, if you have an extra animal left just try to hide it somewhere that I would find after I find the Easter basket.

Love,
Emily

P.S. Guess what! I got spacers/expanders! So I can’t have anything chewy, gooey, hard, or sticky, so I can’t have jelly beans this year.

P.S.S. I can have those peanut butter eggs covered in chocolate ( hint, hint)!

Speaking of that kind of candy, my parents are always talking about those big peanut butter eggs covered in chocolate that you need a knife to at least cut the thing and I thought you might still make a few. I’ve never had one of those. It’s okay if it doesn’t have icing. We still have icing left from Christmas. Actually, we have a lot of icing left (hint, hint). It’s okay if you don’t have some.

P.S.S.S. What was I going to say?

P.S.S.S.S. Happy Easter!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

P.S.S.S.S.S. At the Easter egg hunt, a Mama bunny just had around five new born bunnies and they were so cute and guess what! I have a stuffed white bunny and just the other day, I got a new baby stuffed bunny and it was so cute. I’m thinking of calling it Sugar and at the Easter egg hunt, the mother bunny was grey and her babies were grey, brown, maybe white, and all kinds of colors and my new stuffed baby bunny is brown while its mother is white. So, who says a white bunny can’t have a brown bunny named Sugar? The mother is named Jennifer. I was watching a television show where there are kids that go to high school and there are all kinds of funny things and the janitor is crazy. And there was a girl wasn’t named Jennifer and she gave some kind of snacks to janitor if he called her Jennifer at the end she went back to her old name. And I thought Jennifer was the perfect name for my bunny.

P.S.S.S.S.S.S. Are you getting tired of the P.S.’s?
