Emily now has a blog of her own. To check it out, scroll down this page and find "About me" on the right hand side and then click on "View My Profile". Then under "My Blogs" click on Emily's blog.
She is taking the pictures and getting me to type what she tells me. She already know how to download the pictures herself. It won't be long before she will be blogging without any help from me.

A weekend of crafts
It was a weekend of crafts. First we finished another paper doll Cricut project for the newly painted bathroom. It didn't turn out as well as I had wished mainly because I had to rig it to hang it on the wall. But the important thing is that Emily enjoyed working on it and we made some fun memories.
Second, Emily made a beautiful pot holder for her teacher Mrs. Wallace. Emily reports that Mrs. Wallace loved it. Mrs. Wallace is such a blessing!
Then we finally finished a Halloween bag made out of foam paper. Originally, we were going to cut paper dolls from the Cricut and dress them up in Halloween costumes. Well, Emily lost interest with the Cricut since it was taking more time than anticipated so we opted for stickers and lots of them.
Finally, we have two Halloween door decorations. We used the Cricut, ribbon and pipe cleaners.
Honestly, I believe we will use this idea for all the holidays since we love the Cricut and it's easy.

Honor Roll
It's back!
Poor little purring Nala has been lost. I looked all over the house for her, Hartford looked all over the house for her and Emily looked all over the house for her. Saturday I was up in the attic and luckily, I found her. Emily is extremely happy to see her. She now has a beautiful homemade collar and will go to school with Emily soon. Every so often the teacher will allow stuffed animals in class.
2009 Camping - Part 1
Two weekends ago after church, we headed to a nearby campground. First we set up camp and then ate a delicious lunch of hamburger grilled to perfection, potato salad, pasta salad, and chips. Afterwards, Hartford and Emily went fishing. I tagged along to take pictures. Then, we went exploring and found a playground and then we found a fort. It was a little easier to do several small blogs than one large blog.
Here's Emily in front of our tent on Sunday night. It was a little chilly but I thought it was actually perfect camping weather.
For dinner we had hot dogs. After dark we had yummy s'mores and popcorn.
Here's a picture of Emily in her favorite shirt and favorite shoes. They will be forever engraved in my memory.
Emily sure does love to help the fire grow. She fans it and she feeds it leaves, pine cones and anything else that she can find.

Fishing~
Hartford caught the fish and Emily touched it. I couldn't because I was just there to take the pictures, remember?
In conclusion, Sunday was a wonderful relaxing day. Unfortunately, it started raining hard around 2:00 on Monday morning. Needless to say, we we water logged and everything we had was water logged. We were exhausted all day Monday.

Bunnicula
What’s making the veggies in the Monroe family fridge turn white?! Harold the dog and Chester the cat have their suspicions, but surely it couldn't be that cute little bunny … right? Bunny … Dracula … Bunnicula?! What do you think? Told from the point of view of Harold and Chester. A spooky mystery for ages 5+
Hartford read the book Bunnicula when he was in grade school and told me and Emily about it. It has became one of our favorites as well. When Synchronicity announced that they were putting on a Bunnicula play, Emily and I couldn't resist. Normally, the plays are held at the 7th Avenue Playhouse but this time around they held it at the Alliance Theater at Woodruff Arts Center which happens to be located in downtown Atlanta beside the High Museum. Going downtown by myself is not one of my favorite things to do. But it was a good day to go. Traffic was light and the TomTom was working wonderfully.
After the play was over, Emily and I ate lunch at Costco and went window shopping at Target. I think our girls day out was successful.
Emily made bunny ears before we left. Some of the other kids were wearing store bought bunny ears. Emily's ears were prettier. The play web-site stated that there would be a surprise for kids that wore bunny ears. There was a surprise alright, the surprise was that there wasn't a surprise.
Field Trip Surprise
On field trip day, Emily wanted to take her lunch so she used the following lunch bag.
When she came home from the field trip, she put the lunch box in her shoe basket. Later when I went to pick it up to put it in it's proper place I was surprised to find rocks in it. I shouldn't have been, she is her Father's daughter.

Normal Day
by: Mary Jean Iron
Normal day, let me be aware of the treasure you are. Let me learn from you, love you, bless you before you depart. Let me not pass you by in quest of some rare and perfect tomorrow. Let me hold you while I may, for it may not always be so. One day I shall dig my nails into the earth, or bury my face in the pillow, or stretch myself taut, or raise my hands to the sky and want, more than all the world, your return.

Halloween Bat
Happy Fall
Happy Fall!
Hartford made a trip to Lowe's today and purchased some flowers. He even purchased some daisies which are my favorite. The grasshopper come along for the ride.
There aren't any flowers in front of the mail box because some very mean fire ants have taken up residence there.
Emily helped Hartford plant the flowers.
Can this child be mine?
She's actually holding a worm.
I helped plant the flowers too. I took the pictures. You have to take pictures when you plant Flowers, right? Oh, just humor me!
