Cricut cartridge

It came, it finally came. It's the new Everyday Paper Dolls Cricut cartridge. I purchased it from eBay for only $35 which included shipping. It normally sales for $89.99. Now Emily and I can work on more projects. We are thinking up of projects faster than we know what to do.

Bathroom picture

We aren't quite finished decorating Emily's bathroom yet. Emily and I are going to work on another Cricut project to hang in there.

I got rid of the sailboat pictures, but I kept the hanging fish. I think it looks better than ever with the blue paint.

I spy an addition

Three out of four members of our family has a new addition. Missy cat just thinks we are crazy. We are hooked on these I Spy books. Thank goodness for the Gwinnett County library.
Hartford even purchased an I Spy Wii game on eBay. He and Emily love it. Unfortunately, three people can't play at the same time and since I really don't know how to work the Wii very well, I just let them play it.

EEEK!

Emily won these new teeth at the Fall Festival two weeks ago. She still looks cute to me.

Cricut Craft - Paper dolls

Some little someone has a Daddy wrapped around her little finger and talked him into painting her bathroom blue. She wants to decorate the newly painted bathroom with mermaids. I thought that we could make something to hang in the bathroom. Here is our creation. Emily really enjoyed doing this project. She is now an expert with the Cricut.

Happy Halloween-2009

Halloween is just around the corner and Emily is getting ready. She has started making a banner going down the banister. She is planning on adding bats, cats and is considering adding pumpkins. Here's is what she has so far. It's hard to tell by the picture, but it says, "happy Halloween".
Here's a closer look at some the paper dolls that we made, a ghost, a skeleton and a mummy.

Old McDonald Had a Farm

Emily and I are always making up new words to old songs. Here's a short version of our latest:

Old McDonald Had a Farm, E-I-E-I-O
and on that farm he had an Emily, E-I-E-I-O
with a giggle, giggle here, and a giggle, giggle there,
here a giggle, there a giggle, everywhere a giggle
Old McDonald Had a Farm, E-I-E-I-O

Old McDonald Had a Farm, E-I-E-I-O
and on that farm he had an Alex, E-I-E-I-O
with a "smell you later" here, and a "smell you later" there,
here a "smell you later", there a "smell you later", everywhere a "smell you later"
Old McDonald Had a Farm, E-I-E-I-O

Old McDonald Had a Farm, E-I-E-I-O
and on that farm he had a Connie, E-I-E-I-O
with nail polish here, and nail polish there,
here nail polish, there nail polish, everywhere nail polish
Old McDonald Had a Farm, E-I-E-I-O

The apple doesn't fall far from the tree

Last night Emily was describing a little boy's craft project and she stated that it was crooked as a dog's leg. I had to laugh, I do say that a lot.

Rain, Rain, Go Away - NOW!

It's not just wet, it's horrible for a lot of people. We are lucky so far. Emily missed school today and will at least miss it tomorrow. On my way to work this morning, I ran into two closed roads and had to find other roads. This afternoon coming back from work, there were some roads closed whichever way I knew to get home. Luckily, a lady at work told me how she was going to go and I prayed that the roads were open and I wouldn't get lost since I rarely go that way. I didn't have any problems. I was afraid of the standing water in the roads and I was afraid that a tree may fall. But the way I went, I was fine.

Other people have not been so lucky. Some are without electricity, some have lost everything they own, some have even lost their lives. I'm counting my blessings tonight and I pray that things continue to go well for us.

Fall Festival

Since it had rained all week, the school had made plans to move the fall festival indoors on Saturday. It worked. Here she is cake walking. Hartford won once and then later in the day when they went back, Emily won twice. Here's Emily competing in the hula hoop contest. She was the first one out, but she made it further than I would have, so I give her a gold star.
Here is one of the main attraction, the inflatable slide. Inflatables rock!

Happy Birthday - Ben

After the fall festival, Hartford and Emily came home and Emily ate lunch and she and I were off to Ben's birthday party. Ben is in the same 2nd grade class as Emily. Emily had a wonderful time at the party. It was located at a inflatable jumping place.
This is Alexandra who was there to just jump. She and Emily had a blast. All the kids really enjoyed the balloons.

Shepards

Hartford and I have volunteered to be Shepards to the 2nd grade Sunday school class this year. We will alternate months and since we were gone on Labor Day weekend, we will have one week in October but more importantly, yesterday was our first day.

I think I'm in love! We have two sets of twin girls. The tall ones are very outgoing and announced that they were twins right away and the shorter set were very soft spoken. Grayson was there. It was nice to see him, he was a little boy that was in Emily's class last year. I've posted his picture a time or two with Emily.

There are some very sweet boys in there as well and then there is Cooper. I am very fascinated with him. Yesterday I asked questions to get to know the children (the activities are all planned out). One of the questions was where would you you go on your dream vacation? Most everyone said Disney, Grayson said the beach and Cooper, he said Hawaii. Surprised I said, "Wow!" He added, "Yeah, I want to die." Shocked, I asked, "die?" Cooper with the biggest smile on his face said, "die by a volcano, that would be so COOL!"

Each child was amazing. I was running out of things to say, so I started talking about Missycat. I mentioned that as soon as she is outside, she wants to go inside and then as soon as she gets outside, she wants to be inside. One of the outgoing twins was shocked to hear this because they have a girl cat and they can't let it go out side because there is a boy cat outside that wants to give her babies.

I'm really excited to go next week and hear all they have to say and to get to know each of them better.

I was a little shocked at Emily's behavior. She was totally quite. Maybe next week, I won't practice the activity on her before the others get there. I'm learning, always learning.

Consignment Sale Results

I got a check in the mail today for $191.68 from the items that I sold. Well, I spent approximately $400. At first it may seem that I really over spent. However, if you think about it, I did extremely well. Emily has plenty of shoes for the winter, 5 pairs including water boots, winter boots, casual shoes and two pairs of tennis shoes. This year she will have a variety of dresses. She has Halloween shirts to wear next month and plenty of Christmas items to wear in December. She actually has enough clothes so that if I don't have to wash but once a week. She got toys and computer games to play with now and some that she will get at Christmas. She got sweaters and sweatshirts to keep her warm. She has enough pants that are bigger so that I won't be struggling to find sales in January because she out grew them like she did last year. She got pajamas and even a Halloween costume. All and all I think that I did good.

Happy Fall

I finished one of my many projects that I set out to get done this weekend. I just happened to do it right in the middle of a football game. Oh, and not just any old football game, a Tennessee football game. I couldn't help it, really and honestly, my timing was just innocent.

Labor Day Weekend

Emily and I spent Labor Day Weekend at Mom and Dad's. Emily asked Connie to take her to the park and away we went.

This picture is called: "The grasshopper that Connie almost had to hold"
Gary and Stephanie made it to the park as well and Stephanie helped Emily to finally climb the mountain.

Consignment Sale #6 - My sale & the last one

Since this is the sale that I sale Emily's stuff, I got to shop early. I had 276 items to sale. I spent $77 at this sale. The following pictures don't represent all the items.
Mom was able to add adjustable waist in the pants that didn't have them. What a blessing!!

I'm eager to get my check to see how I did.

Consignment Sale #5

During a lunch break a few weeks ago, I stopped by consignment sale #5 and found the following loot for $9.50. This was the Between Friends sale in Lawrenceville. It isn't huge but I normally find a few items. The black pants were from Talbot's and had tags on them. They fit Emily perfectly.

Christmas in August

Two weekends ago, Emily asked me if it was time start decorating for Christmas. She didn't like my answer, however I suggested that she should decorate her Barbie doll house and that was exactly what she done. Here's proof:
